- L ’opposition entre environnement et développement doit être dépassée.
L'environnement et les équilibres naturels sont à la base du développement
social et humain, ils sont mis en péril par les activités humaines à tous les
niveaux : mondial, transnational, national et local. Dans le cadre du
développement durable l’environnement est vu sous le double aspect des
ressources et des pollutions. On s ’attache aussi aux « catastrophes lentes »
qui semblent négligeables à court terme mais qui peuvent être dramatiques à
long terme. Ces problèmes font de plus en plus l’objet de politiques
internationales à tel point qu’on parle de mondialisation environnementale.
Les problématiques environnementales sont encore souvent abordées de façon
isolée alors qu’elles sont en fait largement interdépendantes.
